“I moved to Birmingham a year ago for work, having previously lived in Brussels, and rented in the city centre in New Street. It was very, very busy and after a while, once I got to know the area a little better, I started looking around.
“I had been considering getting onto the property ladder for a couple of years and this seemed the right time to do it. I came across Highfield Gardens on the internet and booked a visit. Straight away I was really impressed with the development – it was exactly what I wanted.
“The first thing that struck me was how quiet and peaceful it was, despite still being close to the city centre. You could hear the birds chirping, it was very peaceful and it was really green.#
“I had a look around several of the apartments and when I heard about Help to Buy my mind was made up. It allowed me to buy my first property, and without it I wouldn’t have been able to afford to live in a place like Highfield Gardens. It has enabled me to get on the ladder and enjoy a better standard of life than I had previously thought possible.
“I’m settled in now and have got to know the other residents. It’s a great place to enjoy a nice quiet life.”
