“We visited Greenfields at Ridgeway Farm and as soon as we got there we both looked at each other and said ‘this would be perfect!’ The houses are all really nice and they are made of Cotswold stone which we like because it means they are different to typical red brick developments.
“We’d heard about the Help to Buy scheme but didn’t really understand how it worked. But then we spoke to someone from Taylor Wimpey who explained the scheme to us and to be honest it was a no-brainer – it made homebuying so much more affordable!
“Help to Buy meant that we could afford to move from our rented one-bedroom apartment in Tetbury, into our three-bedroom ‘Flatford’ house at Greenfields in November last year.
“We are really pleased with the house. We really like the hallway, it’s so spacious and opens up the whole property. The kitchen is a good size too – we just love everything!
“I work as an operations manager in Swindon, and Morwenna is a travel assistant in Shrivenham. We both have a much quicker commute from our new home than where we used to live. The transport links around the development are great – we can get anywhere we need to pretty quickly.
“Without Help to Buy we would never have been able to afford the house we’ve got. It’s been life-changing and I would always encourage people to go for it if they can.
“Taylor Wimpey have been really helpful and the service we received was great from start to finish. The staff go above and beyond and everyone is so friendly.”
