“We were living together with Tasha’s parents in Biggin Hill, trying to save money, but while we both have good jobs as department managers for Sainsbury’s, we were still looking at another year of saving if we wanted to buy our first home.

“We’d looked at every option, including old and new houses and even whether it may just be better to rent a place, but after a few months of searching online for our ideal place, we found Repton Park on the Taylor Wimpey website.

“In the end, it was the only place we visited to view a property, because we reserved a home there straight away!

“We went around the showhomes which we loved, and then found out we were eligible for Help to Buy, which meant we would only need a 5% deposit.

“We had our eye on a two-bedroom house, and when the Sales Executive told us there was only one left, we decided to reserve there and then.

“I can’t believe how simple the whole process was. We didn’t have to do too much work ourselves at all, which was a relief – we were kept informed throughout and just had to sign bits and pieces and then transfer our deposit and that was it!

“We’d heard buying a house could be stressful, but our experience was completely the opposite.

“Tasha’s dad Gary is a builder and he came to look at our house once it was completed and he was really happy with what he saw.

“Because we bought off plan, we were also able to have our home fitted out with our choice of some of Taylor Wimpey’s interior Options, such as an upgraded kitchen and stylish electricity sockets – the finish is great.”
