“We purchased our new home at Taylor Wimpey’s Broadhurst Gardens in Huntington, near Cannock with Part Exchange – and it’s been so relaxing, it feels quite surreal!
"Part Exchange takes all the stress of moving away. We had a guaranteed buyer in Taylor Wimpey, and there’s no property chain to worry about. All my husband Stuart and I had to do was continue to conduct viewings at our old house, and that’s it. We had comments from people on viewings that we seem so relaxed about the whole thing, and we’ve told them it’s all down to the fact we have a guaranteed buyer in Taylor Wimpey.
“We previously lived in Rugeley, but as I work in Huntington I knew the development was being built. We went to the launch evening in September just to be nosey – we weren’t intending to buy. But after seeing the showhome at Taylor Wimpey’s nearby Canalside Wharf development in Weston, Staffordshire, and realising how much space you get for your money, we found Broadhurst Gardens just ticked all the boxes for us. We even took my mum for a look around the showhome and now she is seriously considering moving to Broadhurst Gardens too!
“We’ve never lived in a new-build house before, and so one of the huge attractions for us is the fact we are buying a home that we can put our own mark on, rather than putting up with whatever the previous owners had done to it.
“It’s a 10-minute walk to work for me, and Stuart’s commute is a straightforward drive because the road links are good. But what we love most about Broadhurst Gardens is the fact it is on the edge of Cannock Chase. Within five minutes of leaving the front door we could be on our bikes riding through some amazing countryside.”
