“Our children have both grown up and we did not need a three-bedroom house anymore – it was such high maintenance with a front and back garden to look after.
“We decided we wanted a one-bedroom property that was within walking distance of everything. Lin has retired and I will be retiring later this year – we are not getting any younger so we wanted somewhere that was convenient.
“Lin and I went for a walk along the riverside one day and that’s when we came across Diglis Water. We had a look around the showhome and we fell in love straight away!
“The idea of selling and moving was a bit scary for us after living in the same house for 37 years. But we used the easymover scheme at Diglis Water, which meant we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Taylor Wimpey took care of everything for us and sold our old house within two weeks!
“It is absolutely fantastic at Diglis Water, it’s like being on holiday every day! We are just 12 minutes walk from the city centre along the river and it is absolutely gorgeous. Our grandchildren love it too – they call it Nanny and Grandad’s pad!
“The standard of our apartment is just out of this world. The best bit about living here is the easy way of life – I love that we can sit on our balcony and enjoy beautiful views over the river. At night time we can see the glistening lights of the city and we have a great view of the cathedral too.
“Everything is on one level which is ideal for when we get older and the communal areas are all very well-kept so we don’t have to worry about gardening or maintaining the grounds. We just want an easy life and that’s exactly what we’ve got here.
“It feels like we have a new life – we go walking all the time and I’ve even starting cycling now. The development feels very secure and it is very private. We can sit back and relax for the rest of our lives now.
“The service we have received has been unbelievable – everyone at Taylor Wimpey is just so helpful. I would not move back to our old house if you gave me a million pounds!”
