Stacey and Ian Winter are among the latest residents to join the growing community at our Halden Field development in Rolvenden. The couple, along with their children and dogs, moved into their new five bedroom home in August 2019 after making the decision to move from their previous home in York.
While looking for their forever home, the family spent over two years living in a rented six bedroom farmhouse in Smeeth, Ashford. Stacey and Ian wanted to move to a low maintenance new build home in the catchment area of their daughter’s grammar school in Ashford and came across our Halden Field development during their search.
Stacey said: “As soon as we saw the show home at Halden Field and visited Rolvenden village we fell in love. Having three children and pets we need a lot of indoor and outdoor space. We were drawn to the Chilham because of its large modern kitchen, good sized bedrooms and the fact we have some office space. The garden is a great size too and, as we don’t get any passing traffic, we really have the feel of rural living. After living in a cold farmhouse, it is so nice to be in a newer and warmer home. We were also lucky enough to be able to choose our flooring, carpets, wardrobes and mirrors, which you don’t get the chance to do with an older property!”
After setting their hearts on a new home at Halden Field, Stacey and Ian were grateful for the support they received from Taylor Wimpey throughout every stage of the buying and moving process. Stacey explains: “Buying a new home is a huge commitment but our sales advisor, Marilyn, really put us at ease. As we only had a small deposit we decided to use the Government backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme to help us to buy our new home at Halden Field. Marilyn was there to talk us through it every step of the way and she really put us at ease.
