Annabelle Graham, and her partner Nick Ilsley, both 25, were over the moon when their hunt for their first home together led them to a spacious four-bedroom detached property at our Varsity Grange development, situated in Cambridgeshire’s new town, Northstowe.
The couple, who were previously living in a two-bedroom rented house in Cambourne, were looking to buy their first home together near Cambridge. After visiting many other developments, Annabelle and Nick fell in love with Varsity Grange and instantly knew that this was where they wanted to settle down.
Commenting on their buying experience with our East Anglia team, Annabelle said: “As soon as we saw the floor plan for the Eskdale housetype, we knew it was absolutely perfect for us. The best feature for me is the open plan downstairs living space. We have a large kitchen/diner, a utility room and a spacious living room. This was important for us as these are the rooms we spend most of our time in and we also wanted to have space to be able to have people over, which was great over the festive period.”
After discussing their options with the sales team, the couple were able to utilise the Government backed Help to Buy scheme to move into their dream home. Nick said: “Buying with Taylor Wimpey was a breath of fresh air. The whole process went so smoothly, I just couldn't believe it. The sales staff were absolutely amazing, I can't thank them enough for helping us move into our perfect home.”
The couple moved into their first home together in November 2019 and have adored the house ever since. Annabelle added: “After renting for the past few years, it feels so good to be in a house that is actually our own, and the fact that everything is brand new makes it even better! We're both really happy with the development and it’s exciting being part of the Northstowe community at such an early stage and watching it all come together.”
