TWY - Featherstone Lions

Our Yorkshire based team has donated over £800 to Featherstone Lions ARLFC to help buy brand-new kits and much-needed training equipment for the U13s team. The cash boost will buy home shirts for the U13s, as they compete in the Yorkshire Junior Amateur Rugby League, as well as a batch of new rugby balls for club training sessions. Founded in 1990, the Featherstone Lions play on their home turf at The Millpond, close to our Colliers Court development, in Wakefield.

Duncan Saul, Assistant Coach at Featherstone Lions ARLFC, comments: “We’re very thankful for Taylor Wimpey’s generosity. This donation will help us to develop the next generation of rugby league talent. It is great to see Taylor Wimpey support the local Wakefield community and help the youngsters.”

Anne Bagshaw, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, comments: “We’re proud to sponsor a fantastic club like the Featherstone Lions ARLFC, as it allows young people to take part in sport, stay active and learn the importance of teamwork. We wish the U11s team the best of luck and hope they enjoy playing in their new kits. As we continue to build at Colliers Court, we’re eager to support not only our customers but the surrounding Wakefield community.”
