We have started the year by proudly making a £200 donation of essential grocery and toiletry items to local charity, The Vine Centre in Aldershot.
The Vine Centre aims to support some of the most disadvantaged members of its community, enabling individuals to move towards independence, make sustainable changes in their lives, reduce social isolation and improve their quality of life.
In addition to a community cupboard, the charity offers outreach services, helping individuals access training and development opportunities, addiction support, mental health and anger management, budgeting and benefit support, counselling and support with homelessness and housing sustainment.
The donation from us has provided essential items for the charity's community food cupboard, open four days a week for its beneficiaries. With several items donated including tinned goods, nappies, essential toiletries and non-perishable food items, the donation from the housebuilder has provided the charity with much needed support at the beginning of 2025.
Carla Green, Client Services Manager at The Vine Centre, said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for this kind donation, it’s gone such a long way in providing relief for several families that use our food cupboard and we are really grateful for this.”
Emma Watson, Senior Sales Manager at Taylor Wimpey West London said: “We recognise the increasing pressures that rising food costs and homelessness are placing on charities like The Vine Centre and we’re proud to have made a contribution towards their essential services. We hope this donation will help The Vine Centre continue their invaluable work in Aldershot and the wider community.”
