We've donated a garden shed to the Rivendell Rehabilitation Unit in Eastry, a 10-bed facility that helps adults with complex mental health needs on their recovery journey.
Our donation will help boost the unit's 'Sow 'n' Grow' horticultural group, which encourages residents to grow their own fruit and vegetables.
Andy Cruickshank, Chief Nurse at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation. The new shed will be a fantastic resource for our 'Sow 'n' Grow' group, providing much-needed storage for tools and equipment. Engaging in gardening activities plays a key role in our residents’ therapeutic journey, and this support will help us continue offering meaningful and enriching experiences that aid recovery.”
Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “The Rivendell Rehabilitation Unit does fantastic work in the local community and we are delighted to support them with this donation. We hope the garden shed will be a valuable addition to the 'Sow ‘n’ Grow' group.”
