We’re delighted to confirm that we have secured detailed planning permission from South Lanarkshire Council for 227 private new homes through the development of land off Jackton Road, on the western edge of East Kilbride, which forms part of the East Kilbride Community Growth Area (EKCGA).

Surrounded by idyllic countryside but remaining well connected to Glasgow and the surrounding towns, our proposals include a mix of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes to appeal to a wide range of buyers.  

The masterplan will see the delivery of a much-needed primary school, retail area and upgraded infrastructure.  The community will also benefit from footpaths to the existing local footpath network and where possible existing trees, hedges and vegetation along Jackton Road will be retained.  

Dwellings positions and landscaping proposals throughout the development aims to maximise views of the wider countryside and designs maximise the latest Scottish Government Planning Policy for Designing Streets.

Masterplan

Outline planning permission for the East Kilbride Community Growth Area (EKCGA) was approved in October 2019 for around 1950 private homes and around 250 affordable homes. 

The EKCGA represents an exciting chapter for South Lanarkshire and will enable the creation of much needed new homes and a new major road linking Jackton and Lindsayfield. The masterplan will see the delivery of a much-needed primary school, spine road, new roundabout, retail area and a range of private and affordable homes. Once complete, the 19.1 acre area will comprise of over 2,500 new homes, 25% of which will meet affordable housing guidelines.

The project will deliver well designed green open space to enjoy, including signposted cycle paths and five play areas across the development area which will champion healthy living and create a true sense of community.

Homes proposed

Amble Court will offer an impressive range of two and three bedroom terrace and semi-detached homes, as well as four bedroom detached homes in a variety of styles and sizes to appeal to a wide range of customers.
The mix of homes which will be available at Amble Court includes the 2 bedroom Andrew home, 3 bedroom Baxter, Blair and Chalmers homes and 4 bedroom Drummond, Fraser, Geddes 5 & Maxwell homes.

Our development has been thoughtfully designed create to character and a sense of place.
Our homes have been designed with a mixture of white render and stone brickwork. The varied positioning of the homes provides enhanced character and an easy place to find your way around.

New landscaping to the north and south of the development aims to maximise and retain views of the existing open space and wider countryside setting.

Amble Court has also been designed to create a sense of place and maximises the latest Scottish Government Planning Policy for Designing Streets.

In addition, our development will generate approximately £1.6million in financial contributions through an agreement with South Lanarkshire Council towards education, transport and community facilities.

Open space

Ensuring our residents and the local community have access to beautiful green open space is a key consideration for us.
A strong emphasis on greenspaces has been considered. Pockets of public open space will be integrated within the street design of our development and the wider masterplan includes extensive open space throughout for the community to enjoy, including multiple play areas and cycle paths.
