Our team has handed over a £22,000 cheque to Amber, a charity helping young people at risk of homelessness.
This donation follows the success of our annual charity golf day in 2024 which was held at Birchwood Park Golf & Country Club. The money raised will support young people at Amber’s Downsview Centre in Kent, and adds to the £18,000 we presented to the charity in 2023.
Earlier this month, Tim Betts, Managing Director, Mohit Mashar, Quantity Surveyor, and Helen Crown, Executive Secretary, presented the cheque to staff at Amber’s Downsview Centre.
Serita Boxall, Fundraising Manager for Amber’s Downsview Centre in Kent, said: “The latest golf day was a tremendous success, and we are incredibly thankful for the fantastic support we have received. It's been a huge boost all round and we are so grateful for the continued support we receive from Taylor Wimpey and the wonderful individuals we had the pleasure of meeting at the golf day.”
Tim Betts, Managing Director at Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “We are delighted to continue our support of Amber for the second year. Their work with young people during difficult times is incredibly inspiring, and we hope that the money we have raised will make a real difference as these individuals take positive steps towards their future. Thank you to everyone who took part in the golf day and made it such a success.”
