Our contributions to the community
Across the Bristol region, we have supported numerous organisations and charities throughout 2024 to make a difference within the community.Among the causes we supported last year was our Charity of the Year for 2024, Caring in Bristol. Back in December, we donated £2,000 as well as clothing to Caring in Bristol, a charity that supports homeless and vulnerable people across the region.
Over the course of last year, we donated approximately £20,000 to community groups, causes and schools including Quedegley Community Pantry, Children’s Hospice South West, Avon & Somerset Search and Rescue and Nailsea in Bloom among others.

We donate seed houses to create wildflower garden at Nailsea schools
Pupils at two Nailsea schools were encouraged to create a wildflower garden thanks to a donation from our Bristol team.
Dozens of seed bombs, shaped like little houses which contain wildflower seeds, have been donated to Whiteoak Academies of Hannah More Infants & Grove Juniors to help youngsters create a new nature area at the schools.
Rob Curry, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Bristol, said: “Gardening provides so many positives in a person’s life, including nurturing a love of nature, so we wanted to support pupils at Whiteoak Academies by encouraging them to create their own wildflower garden through this donation. Hopefully, it will foster a real joy for being outside, connecting with nature and a true love of gardening.”
Laura Flemming, Curriculum Lead at Whiteoak Academies of Hannah More Infants & Grove Juniors, said: “We are so grateful to Taylor Wimpey Bristol for donating these seed houses. The children were enchanted by them, but more importantly, you don’t need to have any gardening experience to plant them, which is perfect for our young pupils. We are all now looking forward to seeing the seeds take root, a lovely wildflower garden flourish and spotting the insects and creatures that will hopefully visit and benefit from our new nature area.”
We donated more than 70 seed houses to the schools in Whiteoak Way.
Rob added: “We are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, especially local schoolchildren.”
