Sylvia Fisher, now retired, wanted to return to Warsash after previously living in the area, and made the move from Portsmouth in June after purchasing her new Taylor Wimpey home.
Her choice to purchase a new build home stemmed from the fact that it didn't have a sales chain, making the purchasing process easier.
After visiting a few developments in the area, Sylvia was sold on Taylor Wimpey after going to Bramley Park and seeing how spacious the bedrooms are. “In a lot of other homes you don’t even have space for a wardrobe. The Taylor Wimpey sales team were also first class and ready to help in any way.”
Sylvia’s first impression of Bramley Park was that it isn’t a large development, which is to her liking, and there are plenty of bus stops nearby for getting around. She said: “I like how it’s quite a central location if you’re looking to travel, I can easily catch the bus to Southampton.”
Situated between Locks Heath and Warsash, Bramley Park is close to Locks Heath District Centre for everyday essentials and Holly Hill Woodland Park and the River Hamble for a stroll or scenic jogging route.
The development is designed to maximise its green space and to ensure it blends in well with the existing village. Once completed, it will feature public open space to create a natural meeting point for residents as well as measures to protect the local wildlife and land such as ecological buffers around the perimeter, bat and bird boxes, a sensitive lighting scheme for nocturnal animals, and diverse, natural habitats for birds.
Wanting to purchase a detached home, Sylvia chose the Byford house type, a three-bedroom home with an open plan kitchen featuring double doors leading out into the garden, perfect for a summer barbeque. The spacious home features a cloakroom and storage cupboard for extra handy storage space, two double bedrooms, and a third upstairs room for added flexibility.
When asked what she likes most about her new home, Sylvia said: “I really like the Byford and love how everything in this home is brand new. The best thing is that you can come downstairs in the morning and open the doors into the garden, which is South-facing in my home.”
