We are working closely with local residents, Bedford Borough Council and other key stakeholders to develop plans for an exciting new community in Bedford.

Our proposals for the first phase of development at Cromwell Place focus on the delivery of 180 new homes, ranging from 1 and 2 bedroom apartments to 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses. Of these 180 dwellings, 25% will be affordable homes for local people looking for housing.

The development is on the doorstep of a mixed-use town centre, comprising a variety of retail, office, leisure, education and community facilities. In addition, a new 4th form entry primary school is due to open in September 2022.

Conveniently located between the A1 and M1 corridors, residents will benefit from easy access to London and all major surrounding road networks. With Bedford’s Main Line Railway Station just 4.1 miles away, commuters can expect to reach London St Pancras in as little as 45 minutes.

Once complete, Cromwell Place will comprise approximately 1,500 dwellings, as part of the wider Wixams development.
