Learn about exciting proposals for new homes off Bridgewater Road, Mosley Common.
Taylor Wimpey are excited to be bringing forward this important development which will deliver much needed affordable and open market homes in this sustainable location.
The scheme will comply with the parameters and Design Code approved through the outline permission and create a landscape-led high quality residential development including access from Bridgewater Road and the provision of usable public open space and a network of footpaths and cycleways, for all to enjoy.
Peel L&P secured outline planning permission in October 2024, to build up to 244 homes on land off Bridgewater Road (ref. A/23/95155/OUTMES), as part of the wider proposals for the Mosley Common masterplan area. The site is also allocated for residential development in the Places for Everyone Plan for Greater Manchester which was adopted in March 2024 and forms part of the development plan for Wigan.

Construction of the first homes are forecasted in early 2026, subject to the approval being granted and clearing of planning conditions.
We will start selling homes from Summer 2026, with the first residents moving into their new family homes towards the end of that year.
