The proposed site has previously been identified as being well-suited for development, being in a sustainable location to the east of Milton Keynes with easy access to J13 of the M1.
An outline planning application for the proposed development will be submitted in the near future, following consultation with the local community, parish councils, Central Bedfordshire Council and other key stakeholders.
The development proposals comprise around 700 new homes, ranging from one‑bedroom apartments to larger family homes.
The village will include a local centre, providing business and retail opportunities alongside community and health facilities. The proposals also include a two‑form entry lower/primary school and extensive green infrastructure including areas for play and formal sports facilities.
