We have submitted a planning application to Aylesbury Vale District Council for a new residential development of 45 new homes and public open space on land to the south of Weston Road, Great Horwood.
Our proposed scheme proposes a mix of private and affordable homes, with designs ranging from two-bedroom starter homes through to five-bedroom detached properties.
The submission of our planning application follows two public consultations. In January 2014 we exhibited concept plans for the site. The comments we received during the consultation helped us to draw up detailed proposals for the scheme, and these were exhibited during a second exhibition in February 2014.
Information displayed at the second public exhibition in February can be downloaded in pdf format by clicking this link, while information from the first public exhibition in January can be downloaded by clicking this link.
Before we submitted our planning application, we took into account all comments received during our two public consultations and amended our proposals. Key amendments included the reduction in the number of homes from 48 to 45, a larger area of public open space and a greater degree of space provided along the site's eastern boundary.
We recently carried out some surveys on the site, and plan to undertake further surveys between now and September 2014.
These surveys are necessary to ensure that all relevant issues relating to the site are fully considered as part of our proposals, including archaeology, drainage and ecology.
