  • Land west of Egginton Road, Etwall

This web page gives you the chance to find out more about our emerging proposals for land west of Egginton Road, Etwall.

We are currently drawing up an outline planning application which will allow for approximately 120 dwellings, open space and landscaping including an area for possible community uses.

We held a public exhibition detailing the application proposals for the development at Frank Wickham Hall, Portland Street, Etwall on Monday 8th June.

You can download the exhibition boards displayed at the public consultation event by clicking here.

The public consultation period for our proposed development ended on Friday 19th June. All feedback that was received by that date will be taken into consideration as we finalise our planning application for submission.

  • About the site

The development site is currently a greenfield site located on the south-western edge of Etwall, with access from Egginton Road.

Existing residential properties neighbour the site to the north and east, while open fields are located to the west and south. Etwall Brook lies a little beyond the site’s western borders, while a sewage works is also located along a section of this boundary.

Existing hedgerows lie along the field boundaries and our plans include the retention of the better quality mature trees and hedgerows on the site, as well as providing additional planting throughout the site.

  • Our development is designed to work within the constraints and opportunities of the site and is a scheme that respects the area's surroundings.

Key elements of our development are as follows:

    • Approximately 120 new homes
    • A proportion of affordable housing
    • Open space and landscaping
    • An area for possible community uses

  • We will provide a number of contributions towards the local community as part of our proposed development, with details of these contributions agreed with the relevant local authorities.

  • Monday 8th June 2015 - community consultation event was held at Frank Wickham Hall, Portland Street, Etwall.
