    We have submitted an outline planning application for a new residential development of up to 100 high-quality homes on land to the south of Goodleigh Road in Barnstaple.

    Our planning application has been drawn up following a public consultation in July 2014 and was submitted to North Devon District Council in April 2015.

  • The proposed development site

    Site context: the proposed development site is outlined in red.

    The site which we are proposing for our new development is located immediately south of Goodleigh Road and is currently in agricultural use.

    The site is bordered by hedgerow which will be retained as part of our proposals and enhanced with new planting.

    There are a number of ponds located in the southern section of the site and these will form part of the drainage strategy for our scheme.

    We are proposing to create a north-south pedestrian link through the site to connect with the two existing public footpaths in the local area.

    Ecological surveys have been completed and proposals included within the application to protect and enhance wildlife on-site.

  • Our development proposals

    By applying for outline planning permission for the Goodleigh Road site, we are seeking to establish the general principle of a residential development.

    If outline planning permission is granted by North Devon District Council, we would deal with detailed matters such as property design, layout and landscaping in a separate application.
