Taylor Wimpey is preparing outline plans for a new residential development on land adjacent to Godwell Lane and Exeter Road, Ivybridge.

    Land at Godwell Lane

    We have an option to purchase the land from the existing landowners subject to planning permission being granted for our proposed residential development.

    We undertook public consultation and finalised our technical investigations during 2019.

    Our full detailed application was submitted to South Hams District Council at the end of 2019 and validated early 2020. Consultation responses and technical feedback were received during 2020 and consequently a revised scheme is likely to be submitted during the first half of 2021.

    We are hopeful of a planning consent later in 2021 so that the development can commence in 2022.

    About the site

    The proposed development site covers an area of 10.25 acres and is currently in agricultural use. It is adjacent to Ivybridge Rugby Club and can be accessed off Godwell Lane  The A38 Devon Expressway lays to the south of the site, providing fast links by road to Plymouth and Exeter.  Dartmoor National Park lies to the north, offering a wide range of leisure opportunities.
