Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire and Wynyard Park Ltd are preparing a joint planning application for approximately 115 new houses on land at Wynyard Park.

    Wynyard Manor Phase 2 will act as a continuation of our existing development, located immediately to the south of the site.  This proposed new phase will offer a mix of approximately 115 no. three, four and five bedroom homes, surrounded by mature woodland in the attractive location of Wynyard Park.

    Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, working with Wynyard Park Ltd, are preparing a joint planning application and in advance of its submission would like to discuss the proposals with members of the public.  We have therefore organised a Community Consultation Event, at which employees of Taylor Wimpey and its consultants will be on hand to discuss the proposed scheme.  Details of the event are below:

    About the Site

    The site is located immediately to the north of the current Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire Wynyard Manor development, at Wynyard Park.  The site is surrounded by attractive woodland, with Wynyard Village located close by, in which local amenities are present including a grocery store, pharmacy, salon and a pub.  The site is located north of the A689, which provides direct links with both the A19 to the east and A1(M) to the west.  Durham Tees Valley airport is less than 20 miles away from the site.

    The development will involve the construction of circa 115 houses, including areas of public open space and pedestrian and cycleway linkages throughout the site.

    Community Benefits

    The development will provide a range of housing that will both address local need whilst also contributing towards Stockton Borough Council's new homes requirement over the next 5 years.

    There will be a wide range of community benefits that accompany the site's development, such as:

    • We employ a wide range of trades, providing opportunities for local workers and sub-contractors.
    • An investment will be received by Stockton Borough Council through the New Homes Bonus scheme, which has been set up by the Government to accompany new housing development and benefit local communities in which it takes place. 
    • The development will have a legal agreement in place called a Section 106 Agreement which will covers any required improvements to the existing local infrastructure and services.

    A detailed planning applicaiton is being prepared by Taylor Wimpey, to be submitted jointly with Wynyard Park Ltd.  In advance of this, a Community Consultation has been organised to discuss the proposals with local members of the public on 26th January at Wynyard Park House.
