Hope Grants Road

Wellesley - Hope Grant Road - Aldershot - Hampshire - GU11 2DH

Taylor Wimpey is preparing design proposals for the next phase of the Wellesley development; the phase is known as Stanhope Line and Buller East. The phase benefits from outline planning consent for approximately 430 new homes. A reserved matters planning application is due to be submitted in the upcoming months.

  • Overview

The site is in the administrative area of Rushmoor Borough Council (RBC) and Hampshire County Council (HCC). A hybrid planning permission was granted for the Aldershot Garrison redevelopment on 10 March 2014 for up to 3,850 dwellings together with associated infrastructure, including a neighbourhood centre, employment provision, schools and a suite of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) (application ref. 12/00958/OUT).

  • About the site

The site forms part of a wider former Army Barracks site approved for redevelopment for up to 3,850 new homes. This phase measures circa 30 acres (circa 12 hectares). To the south lies Hope Grant's Road, with Bellway Homes beyond. The main frontage to the scheme will be along this road with access to our marketing suite. To the east lies Mandora road. To the north is Alison's road screened by mature retained trees. Immediately north-west is a future extra care site.

The site offers views to listed buildings, a large linear park running through the site, and the wider established placemaking and infrastructure delivered through earlier phases of the development.
