Land off Coleridge Way

Land off Coleridge Way - Borehamwood - Hertfordshire - WD6 2AT

Taylor Wimpey has submitted a planning application for a small extension of 18 apartments to its Byron Avenue development in Borehamwood

  • Overview

    Overview

Taylor Wimpey has submitted a detailed planning application for a small extension to its development off Byron Avenue, Borehamwood. The plans comprise a single block of 18 apartments on land off Coleridge Way, adjoining Taylor Wimpey’s already approved 43-home development.

The proposed development site is located in between Coleridge Way to the east, and the railway line serving Elstree & Borehamwood railway station, to the west. Adjoining the site’s southern boundary is our approved 43-home development off Byron Avenue.

Our proposals include a single block of 18 one and two-bedroom apartments, 35% of which would be affordable homes. We would also create open communal space for residents, 18 car parking spaces and landscaping.

We held a public exhibition to show our proposals at Allum Manor Hall, Borehamwood on 9th May 2018 between 3pm and 8pm.

The consultation boards that were displayed at our public exhibition can be downloaded here.

Comments we received from local residents and stakeholders helped us to refine our emerging plans before we finalised and submitted a planning application to Hertsmere Borough Council on 11th December 2018. The application can be viewed on Hertsmere Borough Council's website and searching reference number 18/2318/FUL.

  • About the site

    About the site

The proposed development site is located in between Coleridge Way to the east, and the railway line serving Elstree & Borehamwood railway station, to the west. Adjoining the site’s southern boundary is our 43-home development off Byron Avenue, which received planning permission in 2014.

The land is currently waste ground and has been identified as suitable for residential use by Hertsmere Borough Council.

The site is considered to be in a highly sustainable location, being within 400m of Borehamwood town centre, plus the railway and bus stations.
