    Former Roche Headquarters

    We have submitted a planning application to convert the former Roche headquarters building off Otto Way into a new residential development which include 34 high-quality apartments.

    This 1930s building is Grade II Listed and has been vacant for almost 10 years. During this time it has been actively marketed in order to try and find a suitable commercial or community occupant and has become increasingly difficult and costly to maintain the building and make it secure.

    We are therefore proposing to deliver a long-term, sustainable development comprising a range of stylish one and two-bedroom apartments which sensitively reflect the architectural heritage of the building, whilst providing much-needed new homes. Our plans have been carefully designed to protect its existing external appearance and preserve the most valuable internal features.

    Our proposals also include minor alterations to Otto Road and the land immediately surrounding the former Roche headquarters building, in order to accommodate adequate car parking provision and refuse storage/collection in line with Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s standards.
