We have submitted an outline planning applicaton to Medway Council for a new residential development on the western fringes of Hoo St Werburgh.
Our application includes plans for 475 homes, public open space and outdoor sporting facilities.
We held a public consultation event detailing our proposals on 27th and 28th June 2014 and the feedback we received helped us to refine our planning application.
The main alteration we have made to our proposals is the removal of homes originally planned for a parcel of land to the north of Vidgeon Avenue/Pankhurst Road. This parcel would have relied on access from existing roads, which residents were concerned about in terms of construction traffic and refuse vehicles trying to negotiate.
Furthermore, the total number of homes proposed has been reduced from 500 to 475 following discussions with Medway Council. This has allowed us to provide a lower density of homes at the site’s northern edge.
