    Taylor Wimpey with our development partners Barratt David Wilson are proposing to submit a Planning Application to the land off Beverley Road, Norton.  The plans include up to 600 homes (Taylor Wimpey’s share of the site is 300 homes) with a provision for affordable housing and provision of a Primary School.  Access will be taken directly from Beverley Road.

     

    The site was allocated for 600 homes in the Ryedale Sites Local Plan in August 2019.

    This development is promoted jointly with our development partners Barratt David Wilson.  The site is currently used for agricultural purposes.

    The key characteristics for the scheme include:

    • Up to 600 new homes;
    • Creation of new family homes incorporating a range of types and sizes;
    • Provision of affordable housing;
    • Access from Beverley Road;
    • Provision of a Primary School;
    • Provision of a link road from Beverley Road to Hugden Way;
    • Incorporation of open space; and
    • Retention of existing hedgerows and trees (where possible).
