    Our proposals for Longford Park

    We have submitted a reserved matters planning application to Cherwell District Council (CDC) for a new phase (Phase 4) of homes at our Longford Park development off Oxford Road in Bodicote.

    We are working in consortium with Barratt Homes and Bovis Homes at Longford Park, after outline planning permission for 1,070 new homes across the whole site was granted by CDC in September 2009.

    Phase 4 will be the final phase of homes at the development, and will comprise 212 new properties. Taylor Wimpey will deliver 75 of these properties, with Bovis Homes and Barratt Homes due to deliver 61 and 76 homes respectively.

    The proposed development site

    Outline planning permission was granted by Cherwell District Council for 1,070 new homes at the site off Oxford Road in September 2009.

    Taylor Wimpey is working in consortium with Barratt Homes and Bovis Homes to deliver Phase 4, which will be the final phase at the development.

    Phase 4 will comprise 212 new properties on land adjacent to Bankside Park, between the canal and Bankside Road.

    The land for Phase 4 covers an area of 7.2 hectares (17.79 acres).

    Our proposals for Phase 4 at Longford Park include:

    • 212 new homes.
    • 75 homes by Taylor Wimpey, 61 homes by Bovis Homes and 76 homes by Barratt Homes.
    • 31% affordable housing.
    • A mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom properties.
    • Detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, plus a small selection of bungalows and apartments.
    • A range of 2, 2.5-storey (2 storey with rooms in the roof) and 3-storey buildings.
    • Property designs in keeping with the homes currently available at Longford Park.
    • Phase 4 will link through to the community park which separates the earlier three phases of Longford Park.
    • Single point of access onto Bankside.

    Our proposed scheme seeks to create a high-quality development that can fulfil the local need for market and affordable housing while respecting the character and heritage of the surrounding area.
