Our proposals for land off Oxclose Park Road and Deepwell Mews, Halfway, Sheffield.
Taylor Wimpey has submitted a Reserved Matters planning application for around 200 family homes, ranging from 2 to 4 bedrooms. the access will be served from both Oxclose Park Road and Deepwell Mews.
The site lies within the Sheffield suburb of Halfway, inside the City Council's authoritative area and was granted Outline Approval for housing on 26th June 2015.
It is situated approximately 6.5 miles to the south east of the city centre and is located approximately 7 miles to the north east of Chesterfield, and has good access to the M1 Motorway, which is around 3 miles to the east of the site.
Halfway 'Supertram' Park and Ride site is also located within 0.5 miles of the site, ensuring good access to Sheffield city centre via regular light rail services.
The total developable area of the site is 14.47 acres.

The development will incorporate approximately 207 houses, which will consist of 2-4 bedroom homes in terrace, semi and detached format. The majority of the properties will be 2 storey in height in addition to several 2.5 storey types.

Vehicular and pedestrian access will be gained from Oxclose Park Road and Deepwell Mews with additional pedestrian links into the existing public open space.
A vehicular link between Oxclose Park Road and Deepwell Mews will be provided as part of the current planning approval in addition to a dedicated cycle route, as an extension to the existing route on Oxclose Park road.
The development will provide a number of affordable homes to be agreed with Sheffield City Council. A cycle path will be built through the site and improvements to the existing footpath network and cycle route are to be carried out.
In addition, the site will contribute community green open space and an ecological pond to enhance the existing natural habitat. A contribution to off-site public open space will also be made.
May 2017- Archaeological trail trenching carried out to satisfy the outlying planning condition.
January-March 2017- Overhead electricity cables relocated with large section below ground.
November 2016 - Reserved Matters Planning Application submitted.
22nd June 2016 - A Public consultation is being held between 4pm - 7pm at the Halfway Elderly peoples club, James Walton Court, halfway, Sheffield, S20 3GY.
