Shaws Lane

Former Bishop Lonsdale School site - Shaws Lane - Eccleshall - Staffordshire - ST21 6AU

We have prepared proposals for a new residential development on the former Bishop Lonsdale School site, off Shaws Lane, Eccleshall.

  • Land off Shaws Lane

We have submitted a planning application for a new residential development of 81 homes on the former Bishop Lonsdale School site, off Shaws Lane, Eccleshall.

Outline planning permission for a residential development of up to 82 new homes was granted by the council in April 2013. This permission, which remains in place until April 2016, established the principle of residential development as well as approving the access and general layout of the site.

Our current planning application builds upon the previously approved permission, providing details of the design, scale and landscaping of the site in conjunction with some minor alterations to the approved layout. The access remains as previously approved.

A public consultation event took place in Eccleshall in February 2014 and comments received from the local community and subsequent discussions with senior planning officers at Stafford Borough Council have informed our layout.

More recently we have been in conversation with Eccleshall Parish Council, presenting our revised proposals to the Parish Council meeting twice and incorporating suggested changes from members of the council and the local community.

You can find out more about our new scheme by clicking on the 'What's proposed' tab above.

Alternatively, you can view the full detail of our planning application by visiting Stafford Borough Council's online planning pages (search planning reference 15/23396/FUL).
