    Plans For New Homes at Kibblesworth

    We anticipate outline planning permission will be granted in October 2020 for a development at West Farm, off Kibblesworth Bank, which will consist of approx 250 new homes. The homes will range from 2 bed starter homes up to 5 bed family homes. There will also be a 15% allocation of affordable homes. The proposals include a new roundabout off Kibblesworth Bank for access to and from the development.

    Taylor Wimpey North East is preparing to develop an area of land off Kibblesworth Bank, Kibblesworth, Gateshead. We've held a community engagement event  to inform the local community of our proposals and gathered feedback on our proposed development. Upon receipt of comments, we have assessed how best to move forward towards a planning application submission.     Our Development Proposals

    The site is proposed for development of residential dwellings with associated gardens and landscaping, parking and roadways. The site will consist of 15% affordable housing.

    Taylor Wimpey has worked closely with Gateshead Council to work up the detailed proposals of Phase 1 and anticipate a detailed planning submission in the upcoming weeks.

    12/04/19

    We are currently working with Gateshead Council on the legalities of the planning approval, in the form of a Section 106 Agreement.

    19/12/18 

    A long Twenty Five months have passed since our Planning Application was originally submitted to Gateshead Borough Council for consideration, since then we have continued to work extremely hard with our Design Teams and the Local Authority to provide further clarity that our proposals provide for a great scheme that is policy compliant.

    Following this process we are delighted to announce that we have received Outline Planning approval for 225 homes and related infrastructure, subject to signing of a Section 106 Agreement.

    In the New Year we will give further updates of the next stages of the process.

    We are still working closely together with Gateshead Borough Council, towards planning approval.  We apologise for the length of time this application is taking and we hope to have a positive outcome by the end of this year.

    We are still working closely with Gateshead Borough Council on our Outline Planning Application, we hope to update you soon with the outcome.

    We submitted an Outline Planning Application to Gateshead Borough Council. We will continue to make any updates as the site progresses.

    A public consultation meeting was held at the Millennium Centre in Kibblesworth between 3pm and 7pm, Tuesday 1st March. We will be displaying our initial proposals prior to submitting  an application to Gateshead Council.

    We are working with Gateshead council to finalise the Section 106 Agreement and anticipate an outline approval in the upcoming weeks.
