Land off Tamworth Road, Coventry (Phase 2)
We are preparing a reserved matters planning application for the second phase of a wider development of 719 high-quality homes on land off Tamworth Road, Coventry. Phase 1 will provide 323 new homes and received planning permission in November 2019 and construction started in Summer 2020. Phase 2 will provide 396 new homes.
The site forms part of the Keresley Sustainable Urban Extension, which is an area of land set aside for housing in the adopted Coventry Local Plan. Through the Local Plan process, the land was removed from the Green Belt and allocated for the development of 3,100 homes as well as shops and a primary school.
In February 2018 Coventry City Council granted outline planning permission for the development of 800 homes, a local centre, the primary school, public open space, allotments and a nature conservation area.
Our current proposal for 396 homes is for the second phase of development.
