  • About the site

    The proposed development site

    The land is situated to the west of Nuneaton in a small suburb known as Galley Common. Nuneaton is an established town situated seven miles from Coventry and 20 miles from Birmingham City Centre. The town has good rail and road links, with the site being a 10 minute drive to Junction 3 of the M6.

    The western part of the northern boundary is bound by a mature hedgerow with open fields and a driving range beyond. The eastern part of this boundary is bound by a small brook which is lined with several mature trees.

    To the east the site is bound by a former railway (now used as a footpath) with a residential housing beyond. The former railway is at similar level to the site in the north eastern corner, as the level of the site rises towards the south the former railway enters a deep steep sided cutting. Numerous semi-mature and mature trees are present along the eastern boundary.

    The site is bound by residential housing to the south and by Plough Hill Road to the west.
