The former agricultural field already has the benefit of Outline Planning Approval for residential development. This was attained in January 2014 which included the detailed approval of phase 1 of the development which is currently under build.
The total approval equates to 450 dwellings but the proposed phase 2 has 110 properties proposed.
Taylor Wimpey already owns the next phase of land for phase 2 and is currently in the process of a public consultation prior to preparing a Reserved Matters Application.
What are Reserved Matters?
The Outline Planning Permission established the principle of residential development and associated access.
Taylor Wimpey is therefore required to submit details of the development's appearance, landscaping, layout and scale to Wakefield MDC.
