    We are currently preparing a Reserved Matters Planning Application on land off Pool Road, Pool in Wharfedale, following receipt of outline permission in 2018.

    The key characteristics of this scheme are:

    • Up to 55 new family homes served from Pool Road.
    • A range of 2 to 5 bedroom new homes.
    • The delivery of a range of community benefits as part of the Section 106 contributions and community infrastructure levy.

     

    The Reserved Matters application follows the principles set out in the Outline consent including landscaping and ecology buffers to the east and west boundaries, public open space in the north of the site and the retention of the existing trees and hedgerows where appropriate.

    About the site

    The site is located off Pool Road, Pool in Wharfedale and is situated less than half a mile west of the village centre. Approximately 9.5 miles from Leeds, 10 miles from Bradford and 9 miles from Harrogate, the site at Pool in Wharfedale is well connected within Yorkshire and beyond.

    Currently in agricultural use, the land is bound to the north by A659 Pool Road, and to the east by existing residential development. Open fields and agricultural land lie to the south and west.

    • Up to 55 new family homes covering a range of types and sizes, served from Pool Road.
    • Publicly accessible open space.
    • A range of community benefits as part of the Section 106 contributions/community infrastructure levy.
    • Vehicular access from Pool Road with pedestrian link to Church Close.
    • Provision of phase 1 of future Pool in Wharfedale relief road.

    We are now acting upon a number of points that were raised during the exhibition and our Strategic Land and Planning Manager will update residents at the Pool in Wharfedale Parish Council Meeting 13th March 2017.

    Taylor Wimpey is currently preparing an Outline Planning Application for development of up to 70 new family homes. Served from Pool Road, our proposals comprise a range of 2 to 5 bedroom homes.

    In order that the views and opinions of local people can be taken into consideration, Taylor Wimpey is hosting a public exhibition of our emerging proposals. You are welcome to visit the exhibition to see the proposals where members of the planning team will be in attendance to answer your questions.
