    New homes coming to Chippenham

    We have submitted a Reserved Matters planning application for a residential development of up to 60 new homes on land at Hunters Moon, Chippenham. The application includes the provision of up to 28% affordable homes (17 homes), ensuring that local people are able to live and work in the local area.

    The land, which is accessed by surrounding existing and future phases by Bloor Homes, gives us an opportunity to deliver a mixed development of homes including 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes. This is in the form of a bungalow, flats, terraces, semi-detached and detached houses with on-plot parking. 

    The site is part of a wider outline planning application for 450 homes which was submitted by Bloor Homes.

    About the Taylor Wimpey at Hilltop Park development

    The development is located approximately 2.14km south-west from the centre of the market town of Chippenham and immediately west of Saltersford Lane which leads into Chippenham. 

    On a wider basis, the site is located on the edge of the town of Chippenham which is within the north-west of the region of Wiltshire. Chippenham lies approximately 32km east from the nearby city of Bristol and 138km west of London.

    The development is approximately 1.81 hectares of primarily agricultural land.

    There are also future plans by other developers for additional facilities within the surrounding area as the outline planning permission for the wider area includes 2.41 hectares of employment land.

    What's proposed at Hilltop Park

    The proposals were submitted to Wiltshire Council on the 12th of August 2020. 

    Key elements of the proposed development are as follows:

    • The scheme has been designed to work within the constraints and opportunities of the site to create a sustainable development
    • Up to 60 new high-quality homes
    • A mix of property types and sizes, including bungalows and detached houses
    • Provision of affordable housing (28%)
    • Car parking will be provided for residents and visitors, in line with Local Authority policy requirements and standards
    • Retention of existing hedgerows and trees where possible
    • Landscaping to ensure site integration into the natural surroundings whilst providing both community and environmental benefits

  • Community

    Community benefits at Hilltop Park

    We believe our proposals will carry wider benefits to the community beyond the provision of new homes. These benefits will include a number of financial contributions that will be made towards the local community as part of our proposed development, in agreement with the relevant local authorities. 

    These contributions will be in the form of a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) to Wiltshire Council. The development will also contribute to the vitality and viability of the town through job creation and supporting in existing and new services and facilities.
