We are continuing to work on a number of technical matters, including the provision of affordable homes, with the Local Authority. We will keep the local community informed of our progress and our plans to start on-site later this year.
Our development proposals have been approved by the Planning Committee, however we need to resolve technical matters including the provision of affordable homes before our full planning permission can be granted. We will update the local community as soon as these matters have been resolved and we hope to be on-site in summer 2016.
Our Planning Permission in Principle was secured from Angus Council in October 2015 for our land off the A92 in Monfieth, and a detailed planning application has now been submitted to the local authority for 332 new homes that will include 25% affordable homes. We hope to have our full and detailed planning consent in March 2016.
Pauline Mills, Land Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland adds: “We are delighted to confirm that Planning Permission in Principle has been granted for our land off Victoria Street in Monifieth. This development marks our ongoing commitment, investment and strong track record of delivering excellent quality developments in the Tayside and Angus area, as well as our local commitment to the town of Monifieth, and it’s great for us to be returning to the area.
“We are aiming to secure full planning consent in March 2016, and we hope to be able to start enabling works on-site as soon as possible thereafter ahead of releasing our development of new homes for sale later this year.”
