Broomhouse 6 and 8

Off Muirhead Road - Broomhouse - Glasgow - G69 7UR

Along with our partners Miller Homes, we have submitted a planning application for a range of two, three and four bedroom family homes at Broomhouse.

  • Overview

    About the Site

Our proposed development represents a significant investment in the local area and aims to deliver a range of two, three and four bedroom homes in a variety of styles and sizes to appeal to a wide range of customers.

The joint planning application between Miller Homes and ourselves was submitted in 2017, and we would seek to have approval in early 2019, with a view to having the first houses built and completed this year.

The overall development enjoys some advantages from the associated legal agreement. This agreement ensures contributions are made to the Broomhouse, Baillieston and Carmyle Community Growth Funds (managed by Glasgow City Council). Under the terms of this agreement these funds are earmarked for community benefits including an indoor and outdoor sports hub, a bridge over the railway line to the north-east, a new library or improvements to the existing facilities, and car parking at Baillieston train station.

We are building a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom family homes at our current phases at Broomhouse.  For more information click here.

  • What's proposed

    What's proposed

Set within a rural pocket of countryside on the outskirts of Glasgow City, our development is made up of two separate phases. Phase 6 extends to 8.02 acres and Phase 8 extends to 9.47 acres. The latter of the two phases extends to Calder Water to the south, incorporating a wealth of new landscaping with access to woodland river walks. Both phases aim to deliver impressive connectivity throughout the full development, with a good network of footpaths, cycle routes and informal woodland walks, allowing residents to enjoy the full extents of the tranquil setting. There will be natural play areas set within the central park, together with smaller pockets of public open space integrated within the street design of each of the phases. The development also benefits from being very accessible to all major road and transport links.

The proposed development in Broomhouse aims to deliver a range of two, three and four bedroom homes in a variety of styles and sizes to appeal to a wide range of customers. We aim to deliver 208 new homes with Miller Homes providing 166.
