  • About the site

    About the site

The site lies on the northern boundary of Macmerry and it is currently used as farmland.  The site slopes gently and falls from the south to north gradually.  The proposed development will connect to the village of Macmerry through two vehicular accesses through the existing development at Chesterhall Avenue.

    What's proposed?

We propose to build around 100 new homes, ranging in size from two bedroom terraced and semi-detached up to four-bedroom detached homes.  We will also provide 25% of the properties on-site as affordable housing.

  • Community

    Community benefits

Community benefits will be established through the planning process, and in our discussions with East Lothian Council we will agree what infrastructure improvements are required as a result of the development of this site.  The additional residents this site will provide for Macmerry should assist in maintaining the viability of the many local facilities.

    Latest news

We are delighted to confirm that we have made a detailed planning application to East Lothian Council for the development of land off Greendykes Road in Macmerry.

We’ve listened carefully to the feedback that we’ve received from the local community throughout our public engagement process, and we feel that our proposal reflects a strong community focus for Macmerry and it will integrate with the established local community.

As well as an impressive range of new homes, our development would provide a range of economic benefits for the local Macmerry area which includes supporting over 160 jobs per year of construction, as well as the attraction of new customers to local businesses.

We will keep the local community updated of our progress.
