    Overview

We have submitted an application for Planning Permission in Principle for new private and affordable homes in Kilmacolm. Our proposals include a mix of new homes, with a specific focus on two and three bedroom, as well as the associated open space and infrastructure, which aims to appeal to a wide range of potential buyers.

Two major community engagement events held earlier in the year highlighted a clear desire for new homes in the village, especially for first-time-buyers and those looking to downsize, for which there is a shortage of appropriate housing. The information and proposals showcased at the events can be viewed here and here.

A generous amount of greenspace within the plans offers opportunities for play, walking and running, as well as visual amenity.

    About the Site

The location of the proposed development is shown on the map below.

It is adjacent to an established residential area, bounded to the east by Finlaystone Road and to the south by Quarry Road. It is highly accessible to the village centre and will offer residents a high quality of life.

The development of this site for new homes would have minimal impact on the setting of the village.
