    The site which we are proposing for our new development is denoted by the red circle on the map pictured above.

    Planning permission in principle has been approved and Taylor Wimpey intend to submit an application for approval of matters specified by condition.  This will set out our detailed proposals for housing mix, landscaping and building materials.

    This is a brownfield site, located along the northern boundary of Roslin, a picturesque and historic village in Midlothian.  Well-located for access to countryside recreation, local shops and schools in Roslin, a wider range of shopping at Straiton Retail Park as well as being only 3 miles from the Edinburgh city bypass.  Access to the site is directly from the B7006 (Main Street).

    There is a Section 75 agreement in respect of the site which sees significant sums being invested in local education provision and community facilities.  25% of the plots on-site will be affordable housing.
