We have been granted full planning permission for a development of 78 new homes at Leyland Road, Bathgate.

  • Proposed new homes in Bathgate

    We own and propose to develop four acres of land at Leyland Road, Bathgate, which has been allocated in Local Plan for housing development. This is part of a wider development within the Wester Inches Village development in Bathgate.

    We have been granted full planning application for 78 new homes. We are currently pursuing our other technical consents to allow us to start work.

    Our application provides further information on the choice of new homes that we plan to build, which will range from two bedroom terraced to four bedroom detached family homes and four bedroom townhouses. We will also provide more information on the open spaces that we propose to create, and where access will be provided.

  • About the site

    Our site is currently vacant land within the Wester Inches Village development. It is part of the wider Masterplan for housing development. Wester Inches Village lies to the south of Bathgate, just off the A89.

    The site is around four acres in size and is located to the south of Leyland Road, Bathgate. It is surrounded to the North, West and East by existing housing and to the south by the footpath/cyclepath next to the A7066.

    We propose a strong frontage to Leyland Road and direct pedestrian access to the cyclepath to the south of the development.

  • What's proposed?

    Following detailed discussions with West Lothian Council, we have developed a design which provides for 78 homes. We propose a diverse mix of homes - from two and three bedroom terraced and semi-detached up to three and four bedroom detached homes and four bedroom townhouses. The new homes will be a mix of two and three storeys high. The homes will provide a strong frontage to Leyland Road but also front the cycle/footpath to the south of the development.We are proposing to build a wide choice of homes off Leyland Road in Bathgate, to appeal to a range of buyers. The crescent to the open space at Leyland Road will also be completed with townhouses.Key features of the proposed development are:
