    This proposed development forms part of the Winchburgh masterplan, that when complete, will deliver at least 3,800 new homes, improved transport links, employment opportunities, state-of-the-art schools and stunning new outdoor spaces to this historic village.  

    Our planning application was lodged with West Lothian Council in February 2021 with homes available in summer 2022.

    This site forms part of the Winchburgh masterplan, that when complete, will deliver at least 3,800 new homes, improved transport links, employment opportunities, state-of-the-art schools and stunning new outdoor spaces to this historic village.

    Winchburgh Developments Limited has been involved in this project for more than ten years and completed the first phase of the project in 2018 which delivered 588 new homes, the first phase of the new town centre, and expanded local schools.

    The second phase of the masterplan commenced in spring 2019, which will bring further major infrastructure investments including a new M9 motorway junction, new education facilities and local amenities including recreational green spaces, as well as a further 1,000 homes.

    Our proposed development consists of 101 houses, providing 3 and 4 bedroom private homes and 55 affordable homes, comprising of 2 bedroom cottage flats and 3 bedroom terraced houses in an idyllic setting directly adjoining the new Auldcathie District Park.

    Community Benefits

    As part of the masterplan approval process there are significant levels of developer contributions that have been agreed to fund future local education expansion, affordable housing and provide additional inward investment that will create economic benefits to the community town of Winchburgh and the surrounding local area, which will include a canal marina, and a new motorway junction.
