North East Cardiff

Strategic Site F - North East Cardiff - Cardiff - South Glamorgan - CF14 0PF

Proposed development of approximately 2,500 dwelling as part of the larger Strategic Site F

  • Overview

Taylor Wimpey has submitted an outline planning application for up to 2,500 homes on land between Lisvane and Cardiff Gate, Cardiff which forms part of strategic site F within Cardiff City Council's Local Development Plan.

Prior to submission, we held two public consultation events in September 2018 to showcase our draft masterplan (to see the exhibition material displayed at this event please click here). This was followed by a statutory public consultation during November and December 2018 during which all our draft planning documents were available online, to give the public a chance to comment and provide feedback on our outline plans.

    • A 10ha site for secondary school

Cardiff has ambition for new development to be sustainable, aiming to achieve a 50:50 modal split between journeys by car and journeys by walking, cycling and public transport. North East Cardiff will give residents the best of both worlds - Situated between the established villages of Llanishen, Lisvane and Pontprennau, you will enjoy easy access to local services. In addition, you will benefit from direct access to one of Cardiff’s flagship Cycle Superhighways, new bus routes and the Metro system, offering high quality transport connections to the city centre and Cardiff Bay. So whether it's for work or leisure, getting around the city by public transport, cycling and walking can be quicker and healthier from North East Cardiff.

  • Community

    Community benefits

In addition to the provision of both market and affordable housing and onsite open space, we will be liaising with the Local Planning Authority over the coming months to determine the additional financial contributions and community facilities required as part of the scheme.
