A major redevelopment

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) appointed Taylor Wimpey and our joint venture partner, Dorchester Living, to deliver a residential-led, mixed use development including community facilities, natural green space, two schools and a new town centre.

Hybrid application

Our hybrid planning application was unanimously approved after only 16 weeks. Furthermore, Whitehill and Bordon gained Healthy Town Status, Enterprise Zone, and Housing Zone status, with £25m of HCA infrastructure funding to unlock parcels of land and enable faster delivery.

A Place-Shaping Mixed-Use Masterplan

Our masterplan framework has excelled all design and planning aspirations. It takes the character elements and the defining structuring components and overlays them on the site resulting in a clear design concept, with efficient development parcels, following existing site-generated alignments.

Adjoining land interests

We are particularly focused on adjoining land interests and how they can be integrated into the development to enhance value. For example, building a new secondary school cross funded by the redevelopment of the existing facility.

Governance to form an effective delivery team

We have established an effective governance and management strategy which enables us to build strong working relationships with a number of different organisations, stakeholders and community groups (including local authorities) for the continued success of the development.
