New build homes are more energy-efficient than equivalent older properties. Data from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) found that buyers of a new build house will save over £1,980 a year.*

New build homes are increasingly more energy-efficient, with 86% of new builds achieving a EPC rating of A or B, with less than 5% of existing older properties achieving the same EPC rating.
