Exclusively available on selected new homes in England​, up to a maximum price of £250,000 (after discount has been applied). In Greater London, the maximum price is £420,000 (after discount has been applied). Local authorities may set a lower price cap.

Am I eligible?

You could qualify for the First Homes scheme if:

 

  • You’re a first-time buyer 
  • The property must be your only residence
  • Your household income is £80,000 or less (£90,000 in London) before tax
  • You can get a mortgage for at least 50% of the discounted price 
  • You meet any local criteria, such as living or working in the area or being a key worker
