We build greener, healthier homes
When we build our homes, we have a few principles in mind to make sure we build responsibly and invest in the future.
"New build houses save homeowners over £2,200 in annual energy bills*"
You’ll save on energy bills
New homes significantly reduce household energy usage, with the average new build house using approximately 78KwH per m2 per year compared with an older house which require an average of 234KwH per m2, which is a saving of 66%.*
Your new community will have character
Each Taylor Wimpey neighbourhood is unique, with its own character and identity. But each one is designed to our rigorous standards. You’ll benefit from well connected streets and public spaces, easy access to transport and, on many sites, local shops, schools and community hubs.
At larger schemes we include different housing styles to add character and often we match our layout and materials to reflect the local landscape and traditions.
You can connect with nature
Being near to nature can give our spirits a lift, and recent research shows it has a positive impact on our health. We want to help you get out and enjoy nature, so we’re putting wildlife and green space at the centre of our development planning.
We launched our ‘Home for Nature’ toolkit to help us do just that. It’s full of ideas that we’re implementing on our sites from planting wildflower meadows, to integrating hedgerows, trees and ponds, and installing bird boxes and hedgehog highways.
