Our Commercial teams are a key team in delivering our developments. Managing our materials and labour costs is critical to the success of every build.

Do you have a keen eye for costs?

To make sure we deliver award-winning, quality homes for the best possible price, we rely on our Commercial teams to provide critical information on build costs as well as managing our supply chain. As a member of the team you’d be involved throughout the development process, working closely with the Production team, costing up the materials and labour required to complete a build.

Our Quantity Surveyors and Buyers work very closely with our materials and labour suppliers. These relationships are crucial to the successful supply to our sites. You’ll need to negotiate well and work in close collaboration with local and national partners to ensure we have enough subcontractor resource and materials to complete homes on time for our customers.

The most important thing you need is a good head for figures. But Commercial is about more than just spreadsheets and calculators. You need to be able to work in a team, and with colleagues in other departments, so interpersonal skills are essential. And you must feel comfortable and confident building relationships and negotiating costs with external suppliers.
