Couple downsize to dream home in Warwickshire

Angela and Philip Compton were eager to downsize and have settled into their new two-bedroom home in the Warwickshire countryside.

Gold standard service

Angela Compton, 63 and Philip Compton, 54 are enjoying the best of both worlds in Upper Lighthorne.

The couple sold their previous home for the two-bedroom Morgan to enjoy countryside-living while still having the benefits of local amenities and commuting links. Angela said: “We sold our previous home as we wanted to downsize our property and become mortgage-free. We received money towards incentives from Taylor Wimpey to upgrade several features in our home, which has really personalised our new living space.”

“Although our new home is located within the countryside, we’re close to many amenities and we don’t feel like we need to travel to the local towns to buy necessities as we have several village shops here, which is great.”

“It will get even better as the development progresses and even more amenities open right on our doorstep."

Angela and Philip were delighted with the support received from our team, Angela said: “The customer service we’ve received from the staff at Valiant Fields has been gold standard. The team has shown us continuous support throughout the buying process - it really has felt like a dream!”

Discussing the location of the development Angela said: “We can’t fault Valiant Fields as a site, we’re extremely pleased with the area and our grandchildren love the green open spaces and park. Although it’s a brand-new village, Upper Lighthorne is already starting to feel like a tight-knit community, especially among the dog walkers. Everyone we’ve met has been so friendly."

“We have no difficulties commuting to work or to the local towns. We’ve found that one of the highlights of the location is living in the countryside, the views are stunning which makes it feel very special."
